Poker Rule

Texas Holdem Poker Rules:

Highest hand wins || Players may use one, both or neither of their hole cards to make their highest hand || Ace plays both high and low for straights || Three raise limit per round || Cards speak.

Example: $2/$4 Hold`em with a double blind.
At casino Hold`em tables, a round plastic marker called the dealer "button" is placed in front of the player who would be dealing if a house dealer were not provided. The button is moved one seat clockwise after each game and the card distribution and betting starts to the left of that position. Each player is dealt two cards face down. Then, a total of five community cards are dealt face up in the center of the table in three betting segments (3-1-1). After all the cards are dealt the players make the best hand that they can by combining either one, both, or neither of their two hole cards with five community cards. Using the illustration above, a player holding a king and a ten would end up with two pair, kings over tens with an ace. With this board, that player`s two pair would be vulnerable to higher two pairs, trips, straights and flushes.

Seven Card Stud Poker Rules:

Seven Card Stud Poker have following Rules.

1. The first round of betting starts with a forced bet by the lowest upcard by suit. On subsequent betting rounds, the high hand on board initiates the action (a tie is broken by position, with the player who received cards first acting first).

2. The player with the forced bet has the option of opening for a full bet.

3. Increasing the amount wagered by the opening forced bet up to a full bet does not count as a raise, but merely as a completion of the bet. For example: In $15-$30 stud, the lowcard opens for $5. If the next player increases the bet to $15 (completes the bet), up to three raises are then allowed when using a three-raise limit.

4. In all fixed-limit games, when an open pair is showing on fourth street (second upcard), any player has the option of betting either the lower or the upper limit. For example: In a $5-$10 game, if you have a pair showing and are the high hand, you may bet either $5 or $10. If you bet $5, any player then has the option to call $5, raise $5, or raise $10. If a $10 raise is made, then all other raises must be in increments of $10. If the player high with the open pair on fourth street checks, then subsequent players have the same options that were given to the player who was high.

Seven Stud Hi Lo Poker Rules:

Highest hand splits the pot with the lowest qualifying hand || To qualify for the low half of the pot, the low hand must be 8,7,6,5,4 or lower || Ace plays both high and low || Three raise limit per round || Cards speak

Example: $2/$4 Seven Card Stud games.
After all players have anted $.50, (1.) Each player is dealt two cards face down and one face up. The player with the lowest up card makes a forced bet of either $1 half minimum or $2 full bet (player`s choice) to start the game. The rest of the players, in clockwise order, either call the opening bet, raise it, or not call and "fold" their hands back to the dealer. (2.) All get a fourth card face up followed by a round of $2 betting. From this round on, the player with the highest up card(s) is always first to check or bet. (3.) After the fifth card is dealt face up, the minimum bet goes to $4. (4.) The sixth card is dealt face up and there is another round of $4 betting. (5.) The seventh and last card is dealt face down and followed by the final round of $4 betting. The dealer then determines the winning high hand and low hand, if any, and awards the pot. The ideal result, of course, is to win both ends of the pot with a low straight, a low hand with a flush or any other hand that will win the whole pot, including a high hand when nobody qualifies for low.

Omaha Hold`em Poker Rules:

Omaha is similar to Texas Hold`em. The difference is that the hands in Omaha are usually much better, since you get to choose from 9 cards total.

   1. Hole Cards. Each player is dealt four cards face down.
   2. The Flop. Three cards are dealt face up on the table.
   3. The Turn. A fourth card is dealt to the table.
   4. The River. Finally, a fifth card is dealt to the table.

The five cards on the table are community cards. Your hand is formed by taking exactly two hole cards and exactly three community cards, and forming the best poker hand possible. But remember, all the players have access to the community cards. When played for money, there is a round of betting after a round of cards is dealt (so four rounds of betting in total)..

Omaha Hi Lo Poker Rules:

Omaha Hi-Lo is a community card game.  Every player is dealt four cards face down, followed by five community cards dealt face up in the middle of the table. The five community cards may be used by every player.

When played in casinos, Omaha Hi Lo is played with a dealer button to mark who the dealer would be if the casino weren`t providing one for the table. The button rotates clockwise around the table between every hand. This is important as the "dealer" is the last to act, and thus has the greatest advantage for that hand.

Five Card Stud Poker  Rules:

Highest hand wins || Ace plays both high and low for straights || Three raise limit per round || Cards speak
Example: $2/$4 Five Card Stud games.

After all players have anted $.25 or so, (1.) Each player is dealt one card face down and one face up. The player with the lowest upcard makes an forced bet of either $1 half minimum bet or $2 full bet
(player`s choice) to start the game. The rest of the players, in clockwise order, either call the opening bet, raise it, or not call and "fold" their hands back to the dealer. (2.) All get a third card face up followed by a round of $2 betting. From this round on, the player with the highest upcard(s) is always first to check or bet. (3.) After the fourth card is dealt face up, the minimum bet goes to $4. (4.) Then the fifth card is dealt face up and followed by the final round of $4 betting. The dealer then determines the highest hand and awards the pot.
